Boo ... here comes the test ... of who out there is dedicated enough to check my xanga after a whole month of not posting.  Be sure to comment, to get the full credit you deserve.

Sure, I haven't posted lately.  I haven't read your xanga either.  Sorry.

I've just felt busy lately.  With soccer getting started again, and all of the FC Dallas home games, and Megan-time, and English premier league starting up, it's just been go-go-go.

Btw, for those of you who don't watch the English game, it is worth a look.  Those players are outstanding and there's no way MLS teams can match the top half of the EPL (or probably the whole league).  Every aspect of the game is just superior, trapping and passing are quick and perfect, crosses well placed, it's just beautiful.

Megan is still the best.  I don't see that changing either

Big weekend with San Jose coming to town and the US-Mexico game (and all of the other World Cup Qualifying matches).  Oh yeah, Labor Day too, excellent.

I guess it's been long enough.  Note that the frequency of my posts are consistent with the frequency of FC Dallas acquiring points.  And since they've sucked lately...

Meeting Megan's family was pretty cool.  They seem quite laid back like my family.  Allison took a lot of crap from me but held her ground, you're pretty cool in my book Al.  It was a short visit though and definitely want to see them again soon.

Flying to H'ville this weekend to see the parents and I get to witness Megan's first flight .. should be lots of fun.  Be back on Sunday, maybe even for Pub Quiz.

Men's soccer team selected ... I'll be playing with Inferno II this season, and Co-ed of course.

I was thinking it seemed rather quiet around town lately, then I realized that Amy is in Tahiti.  Miss ya girl, hope you're having fun.

Contributing to the silence is the fact that Drew Moor hasn't called Gina yet ...

Have fun this weekend Hannah .. will miss you.

Yes, one month.  I can't remember a better month of my life.  After thinking about how happy I've been with Megan, I reflected on the past and I've come a long way in a short amount of time.

1 year ago I was still adjusting to a new place, DFW, and a new job.  Trying to figure out where my life was going, still somewhat depressed, bitter and confused.  Feeling overweight and unhealthy didn't help.

2 years ago I was in a daze, 6 months after Becky had died, trying to find direction, any direction.  I wanted to get away from Alabama, get away for good, but didn't know where, didn't know what was in store for me.  Would I find sanity after the death of my wife?

3 years ago I was dealing with the hospitalization of my wife (as it turned out, she would never really leave the hospital again).  Confused, trying to be strong and encouraging for her, yet foreseeing the finality of her life on earth.  Coping as best I could.

Right now I'm feeling the best I have ... since I don't know when ... I really can't remember.  I'm much fitter than I've been since college, I'm happy with where I live, and most importantly I'm in a trusting, supportive, loving relationship that only gets better with time.

What will I be doing a year from now?  Will it be as drastic as these past few years?

Big weekend coming up ... woohoo.

I'm off of work on Friday and Monday.  So the weekend is shaping up like this ....

Thursday - leave work noonish, go to Ranger game (1:00pm) with Megan and my work friends

Friday - whatever, I'm off of work

Saturday - tailgate, game, celebration, tailgate

Sunday - church, pub quiz

Monday - fireworks thing in Richardson

Life has been going fabulously.  I need to get more sleep but I'm holding up pretty good.

Comcast cable is going through my apartment complex and checking/testing the cable lines.  It's about time, they were supposed to be providing since January.  I will almost definitely switch from Verizon DSL to Comcast (and add digital cable).  The Verizon DSL and my router don't get along too well and the router has to be powered down and up almost daily.  It's probably just the settings that need to be reconfigured but I haven't been too pleased with Verizon's customer support thus far.

That's all I've got for now.
